Please read these SMS / Text Messaging Terms and Conditions carefully. By providing your mobile phone number, sending a text message to Expree Credit Union, or opting in to receive text communications, you agree to these terms.
Consent to Receive Text Messages
By providing your mobile phone number to Expree Credit Union, you expressly consent to receive transactional, informational, account-related, servicing, verification, and, where permitted by law and with your consent, marketing text messages from Expree Credit Union and its authorized service providers.
Text messages may include, but are not limited to:
- Account notifications
- Fraud alerts
- One-time passcodes / identity verification
- Loan or membership application updates
- Appointment reminders
- Service notifications
- Requested support communications
- Promotional or marketing messages (if you have opted in)
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of membership, loan approval, or any product or service, unless the message is necessary to complete a request you initiated.
Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on your account activity, services used, applications submitted, and communication preferences.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and service plan. Expree Credit Union does not charge a separate fee for SMS communications.
Privacy and Use of Personal Information
Personal information collected through short code, toll-free, or other SMS/text messaging channels will not be sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Information may be used and disclosed only as permitted by our Privacy Policy and applicable law, including to:
- Provide account servicing and support
- Verify your identity
- Process membership or loan applications
- Respond to your requests
- Prevent fraud and unauthorized activity
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Protect our rights and security
We may use third-party service providers, including communication and cloud service platforms such as AWS, Twilio, and similar vendors, to facilitate SMS delivery and related services. These providers may process your information solely on our behalf and for our business purposes.

Security Notice
Text messages may not be encrypted and may be viewable by anyone with access to your mobile device. For your protection, Expree Credit Union will not request sensitive account credentials such as full passwords, PINs, or complete account numbers by text message.
Please do not send confidential personal or financial information by SMS unless specifically directed through a secure link provided by us.
Opt-Out / Stop Messages
You may opt out of receiving SMS/text messages at any time.
To stop receiving messages, reply with any of the following:

Supported Carriers
Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Changes to These Terms
Expree Credit Union reserves the right to update or modify these SMS / Text Messaging Terms and Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will become effective upon posting to our website.
Your continued use of SMS communications after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
