Photo finish for Derby exhibit

Jane Chancellor Moore Gallery’s  “Art In the Winner’s Circle XVII” had almost as exciting of a finish as the running of the 148th Kentucky Derby but crossing the finish line first was “The Bath” by Lily Swan. Swan is a student at Mercy Academy in Louisville. She will be awarded $100, along with Ms. Jean Belvoix, Mercy Academy’s art teacher.

Expree Credit Union is honored to continue the tradition with Kentucky Derby Museum in exhibiting the student art show pieces from “Horsing Around with Art.”

“The amount of talent displayed is phenomenal. We are continually amazed at the creativity the students showcase,” said Andrea Giusti, Expree Credit Union Chief Marketing Officer. “I could not get over the photo-quality Lily demonstrated in “The Bath” painting.”
